The first round of the Scottish Derby was abandoned last night after only three of the eight heats had been run. After a downpour at the track (resulting in a going allowance of -170!) the vet deemed it unfit for racing.

The remaining heats are scheduled to take place on Thursday with the second round moved to Sunday and the semi's possibly on the following Wednesday in an attempt to maintain a final date of Saturday the 12th of April. This will be a gruelling schedule for those dogs yet to run, if any of them make the final they'll have raced four times in ten day ... not even a scrubber on the BAGS is asked to do that!
