The Golden Sprint at Romford comes to a conclusion tonight, a tight looking contest is in prospect.
Speed Figs
T1 - Blindin Bell 100
T5 - Horseshoe Ping 98
T6 - Rooster Nosey 83
T4 - Bonville Podge 80
T3 - Lambstown Hill 76
T2 - Blonde Jet 65
Blindin Bell and Horseshoe Ping are clear of the field on the figures and could well fight out the finish. Blindin Bell has plenty of early but Blonde Jet (the ante-post selection at 10/1) may well get first run and block off David Mullins' dog. If thats the case Horseshoe Ping will be in a good position to pick off Blonde Jet who doesn't appear to stay the 400 metre trip. One who does get this trip, and more, is Seamus Cahill's Rooster Nosey and he will be staying on late to take advantage of any trouble on the inner.
Skydogs Tissue
No, not something to blow your nose on ... although maybe they will be!
I've been tinkering with the speed figs and trying to convert them into tissue prices. I've also factored in a trap draw and come up with the odds below -
9/4 Blindin Bell, Horseshoe Ping, 5/1 Rooster Nosey, 11/1 Bonville Podge, 12/1 Lambstown Hill, 16/1 Blonde Jet
These are, as they say, a Beta version and I've not been back through my records fully to see how accurate they are. Comparing them with the prices on offer with the bookies reveals a couple of dogs who may be overpriced. Although it would be a bit of a surprise if either Rooster Nosey or Bonville Podge passed the post first tonight the odds of 8/1 and 20/1 available respectively are probably greater than the actual chance of them doing so.
I may just have a fun bet on the two highlighted and keep my fingers crossed that the ante-post selection Blonde Jet runs better tonight than I think he will.
