Sky Dogs

The Yorkshire St Leger final from Doncaster is the centrepiece of Sky's coverage this evening and I'm going with these three hounds to try and get me back on track -

21:10 T1 Bubbly Eagle 4/1 (Skybet)

The Eclipse kicks off at Nottingham this evening and the heats can be seen on the bookmakers BEGS broadcast.

A couple of dogs look overpriced tonight to me. First up is Pat Rosney's Windy Millar (T3 21:07) who is available at 4/1 with Coral. Pat's son of Honcho Classic has had his problems with injury but he is a classy dog when on form at he looks worth chancing at the price.

Julie Bateson's Ardkill Tunoco (T6) is a good competition dog and he can expose any ring rustiness in Fear Zafonic when the pair clash in the final qualifier (21:22). Stan James offer the best price of 5/1 and that's worth taking.

Some good games this week, the Steelers / Bengals game on Sky and the Patriots taking on the Colts looking the pick of 'em.

For a wager though I'm going with the Jets (-6.5), Saints (-13.5) and Eagles (+2.5). I think the Chiefs are worth a look but I've been doing money on games with bad teams so will leave alone.

Thunderstruck looks solid in the 21:20 at Wolverhampton this evening, the 7/2 on offer is decent value.

It's the final of the All England Cup this evening at Newcastle, all the action is live on Sky Sports 3 from 7:30 pm.

It's a tough looking card but I'll go for these two hounds which I think represent a bit of value -

I'll be cheering on Ardkill Tunoco in the big race having backed him at 12/1 antepost, good luck to connections.

Have taken the Cards (+2.5), Colts (-7.5) and Pats (-10.5), will probably back the Saints later barring any key injuries.

The Breeders Cup starts this evening with all the action live on At The Races.

The Yorkshire St Leger kicks off this evening with four heats and Droopys Zach (T4) looks worth siding with at 5/4 with Blue Square in the 20:36. Trainer Mark Wallis thinks the galloping Doncaster circuit will suit his charge and he can get his campaign off to the best possible start with a win.

The All England Cup reaches the semi final stage at Newcastle this evening. In the second of those semi's, due off at 19:48, I like Julie Bateson's Target Classic (T2). He can go trap to line again and the 11/10 with Stan James won't be beaten.

Some good match-ups in week 8 and I'm looking forward to the Vikings/Packers game on Sky this evening.

From a betting point I fancy two favourites to cover in New Orleans (-10) and Detroit (-3). The latter bet will depend on the fitness of Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Calvin Johnson.
